Bynow we are all quite familiar with Sony’s forthcoming Xperia i1 orHonami as it is also known, thanks to numerous photo and specification leaks. Now, Xperia Blog reports that Sony will be launching the phone on September 4 at the IFA in Berlin.
An IFA teaser poster leaked online on Chinese website Digi-Wo, which shows the Honami from the side with the words ‘September 4th, 2013 Berlin’ at the bottom. Xperia Blog also magnified the teaser poster to see the Honami more closely. Much like what has been reported earlier, the Honami follows the same design language as the recent Xperia models with a power button on the side. The device is a bit rounded at the edges, with the volume rocker and the SIM tray below the power button and will be available in a purple color variant.
Previous rumors have claimed that the phone will sport a 20.1-megapixel camera with BIONZ image processing engine and will also reportedly have the capability to shoot 4k video, which currently no smartphone can.
Additionally, the device is expected to feature a 5-inch display, 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at 2.2GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and is also expected to be waterproof and dustproof.
